AI assistant & capability center
Monitoring stays local by default. AI requests send messages, included history, selected context, and allowed task results to your configured model service. Check its privacy and billing policies; a local address does not guarantee offline processing.
Conversations are saved locally and can be deleted. Clearing chats keeps connections and credentials, and does not erase provider copies. Saved credentials use the OS credential store; temporary credentials last until app exit. Delete a connection to remove its credential.
Run cleanup, process, network, and history tools directly. Local inputs and results are not automatically sent to a model.
Review targets before stopping a process or moving files to Trash.
What CoreRobin does not do
- CoreRobin does not include product analytics, a crash-reporting SDK, or an account-sync service.
- CoreRobin does not upload monitoring, file-scan, process, connection, history, or preference data to our servers.
- Normal space scans read metadata only. Explicit duplicate-file checks read candidate contents locally to calculate SHA-256. No scan uploads or changes files.
- CoreRobin never automatically stops processes, uninstalls applications, or deletes files.
What stays on this computer
Local snapshots of CPU, memory, storage, network, applications, processes, startup items, and connections for the current interface and diagnosis.
History can be kept for 1, 7, or 30 days, disabled, or cleared at any time. App names persist across restarts only when you allow it.
Only metadata such as names, sizes, dates, locations, and file types is read. Results stay for up to 7 days and are marked stale after 24 hours.
On macOS, localized app names, paths, Bundle IDs, sizes, timestamps, and an app-directory fingerprint can stay locally for up to 7 days to avoid repeat scans.
Language, motion, notifications, history retention, background launch, and Robin preferences restore your choices.
Full Disk Access
macOS protects locations such as Mail, Messages, and other application data. With this permission, CoreRobin can read system-disk metadata more completely and reduce protected-location gaps in the space map.
- macOS controls the permission, and you can turn it off in System Settings.
- You can still scan accessible areas without it; protected locations are explicitly identified.
- Normal space maps remain metadata-only. Duplicate-file checks can read accessible candidates to hash them; deletion still requires confirmation.
Network requests
Opening Network Quality runs one check and repeats it every 30 seconds while visible. Lightweight TCP probes contact two independent targets to separate local route, DNS, IPv4, IPv6, internet reachability, and service health without sending HTTP request content. The 15-minute trend stays in the current session; only when you enable Continuous quality history does CoreRobin keep local five-minute aggregates for 1-hour and 24-hour views. Update checks request the signed latest.json and installers from the public GitHub Release.
Complete uninstall and authentic app identity
Complete Uninstall plans are built locally from exact Bundle IDs, never uploaded, and require path-by-path review.
Clearing data, uninstalling, and feedback
Settings → Data & privacy center shows the size, item count, last update, and retention for each dataset. Clear resource history, connection history, the application inventory cache, or scan caches separately, or clear everything after one confirmation; the result identifies successful and failed categories and lets you retry failures. Before uninstalling, turn off launch after sign-in, choose Quit app from the menu bar, and confirm in a system tool that no CoreRobin process remains. On macOS, also turn CoreRobin off under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Full Disk Access.

Public Issues are visible to everyone; copy the version and diagnostic summary from About & Support, preview it, and redact usernames, paths, IP addresses, access tokens, and personal details in screenshots. Report security issues privately.
